OUT WITH THE OLD -IN WITH THE NEW.

Baby Arthur 4 weeks old drinks kitten milk every 4 hours
Been busy. Internet has been down in my old place for a whole week= nightmare.  Then I've changed apartment. Moved in yesterday. It's been a week full of carrying stuff, cleaning, throwing stuff away and installing myself. Very tiring, my back is dead and I need a thai massage.  Now I live in the 1st arr in Paris. In the middle of everything in a beautiful apartment. Quite nice.
One of my new roommates is a baby squirrel abandoned by his mother in the forest of Bretagne. He travelled all the way to Paris in a small bag, he was very weak. Now he is getting better for every day and is even climbing around in his cage. We named him Arthur and he is so cute!
                                                                                                     Bonjour!

CAUGHT IN THE MOMENT

Thoughts: I am tired of being a "creative person". I am many persons in one. I know. I'm double sided, but I see myself as a moving element. I don't want to stay the same all my life and be this person forever. I wanna take it a step further. I know my roots and who I am and what I'm good at. I now want to develop into a two, tree or more side brilliant person without boundaries and I want to become someone you can't place in slot. Amen.
Eating: Fois gras and salmon
Drinking; Champagne
Company: Alone
Watching: Myself in the mirror (hello Dorian Gray)
Wearing: Black underwear
Wishing for: You to call me and tell me "lets meet up and just run away"...
Feeling: Ready to explode with spring feelings. Was walking on the wooden bridge leading from the Louvre earlier today. Almost got lost. The one with all the love locks attached to it.  The beautiful purple gold sunset in the sky above me and the gentle wind caressing my face. Don't ever think I've walked on that bridge before even if I lived here for eight years. I was watching the glittering sparkles reflecting the water between the wooden boards in the bridge as looked down... I was walking fast and when I saw all the couples having picnic and laugh it felt as if I would begin to cry, I don't know why. I kept on walking really fast until I reached the end of the bridge, then I stopped for a second and looked back at all the beauty the sunset and the lost love (in my head) reflected. Something told me the dream wasn't over yet, but I wasn't sure...

INSOMNIA! (OH NO!)

-Hello?  No, I can't take a cab to Hôtel Costes right now, I'm trying to sleep, goddamnit!

Insomnia!! (Not again) AAAAH! What to do?
Believe me, I have had my share of this fashionable disorder during the last couple of months. Have no clue why. Never happened before in my life. I've always been able to sleep like a baby 10 minutes after I lay my head on the pillow. Some might think that sleep deprivation is part of a chic outgoing lifestyle, but I can tell you it’s actually hell. You’re lying there, eyes wide open, brain spinning while your body is turning around between the sheets like a garment in a washing machine. You could say I had some time thinking. Trying and figuring out some DO'S and DONT'S while in this condition:

DO:
1. Read books. Interesting, educating and will put you to sleep slowly. I’ve already recommended you so goddamn many books on this blog you know by now that I like to read biographies, books about finance and world economy or other educative topics.

2. Check out You Tube tutorials about interesting subjects such as;
(This is not ironic, I do actually find those subjects interesting.)

3. Put on soft background music on low volume. Solomun, Air, Philip Glass or other elevator music works good in this purpose. Close your eyes. Relax. Imagine yourself naked wrapped in white linen floating around one meter from the ground in a huge castel during the Renaissance era /alternatively resting in a sunchair in the shadow on the beach in St Barth holding your lovers tanned hand while sipping on a cold margarita...

4. Take a long hot shower, or bath. Dim down all your lights. Light a couple of your most sophisticated smelling Diptyque candles and make a cup of detox or relaxing tea. (Alternatively smoke a joint if you are into that.)

5. Watch interesting documentaries that you can find streaming on the net.  Docutube is perfect for that. Last one I saw was ”Cityboy” about Investment banker Geraint Anderson in London, who also wrote a  book with the same name about the dark side of the finance world.

6. Skype/chat on facebook/talk on the phone with someone you like or with a dear friend. Let them convince you that everything is wonderful and that you’ll be alright…(If no one is awake to chat with, try your nearest neighbor, knock on the door and ask if he or she is up for a late night poker session.)

7. If you have a bf or gf, go over to their place and sleep. It’s 100 times easier to fall asleep if you have another person to hug next to you. You relax in another way and instead of seeing mortgages and ugly people not answering e mails when you close your eyes, you see rainbows, unicorns and fluffy clouds while you’re listening to another persons heartbeats…could it be better?

8. Write. (Might not work if you're not a writing person like me) A book, your memoirs, a new business plan or just about your day in your diary or blog.

9. Contact a medium online. (only 29  for a consultation.) Ask him/her about your future husband/wife, what Ivy League school your children are gonna go to, and in which bar in Bangkok the brother of your future venture capitalist who is gonna invest in your start up in order to bring in the big bucks can be found.

10. If nothing else work. Put on a sleeping mask, earplugs and swollow a sleeping-knock-out pill.

* Bonus; Morph your face with any celebrity or with your bf/gf/someone you like and see what your future baby would look like. Fun. I made soooo cute baby's I had to save them on my puter. (silly, I know) Find it here.

AVOID:
1. To eat huge calorie rich dinners before going to bed and to drink coffee. When you stuff large quantities of food into your mouth late at night, the intelligent organism of the body processes it and activates the digestion, circulatory and nervous systems, which keeps you awake..

2. To think about sad stuff and things that bothers you in general. /Extremely non cool stuff you have to deal with in the coming weeks, like changing apartment, mortgages, people not answering important e-mails, stalkers, etc…

3. To watch scary or horror movies or tv shows about mediums trying to get rid of dead and lost souls haunting peoples homes. (I’ve done this mistake sevaral times. NOT to recommend, you are up until dawn after, guaranteed. Too afraid to even move.)

4. To Skype with people in Australia of Tokyo or likewise. When you see the sunshine (in the middle of the night for you) behind your friends relaxed and tanned face and his/her bleached teeth smiling at ya, your not only gonna wish you were playing squash at Bondi Beach, you're also not gonna be tired anymore...

5. Having the volume on your cell turned up. (and the cell next to you in bed) All the textos/mails/alerts you gonna get are just gonna make you jump up and check it - and therefor waste another 5 minutes of your prescious beauty sleep. You can deal with your drunk mates, booty calls and needy friends later.

6. Listening to anything at all by Skrillex

7. To be in contact with any sort of party person in your nearby surroundings. They are just gonna try to fool you out to some opening or some crazy afterparty at Hôtel Costes anyway…

8. The intake of any sorts of drugs that you have to call someone to get.

9. Trying to figure out the meaning of life. (Classic) Your brain is just gonna speed up and spin and it’s gonna be even harder to get some sleep. Bad idea.

10. To think about the person you like. His/her  hair, smell, way of talking, way he/she  kiss, sweet things he/she does..(this could go on forever..) in the end the only thing you’re gonna wish is for him/her to be there…

Bonne Nuit.

I LOVE YOU LINDSAY

Sometimes you have to say "I love you" to yourself if you don't have anyone else in your life telling you that. It is nice to be loved, if only by you...
Therefore; I love you Linda.

HAVE A NICE SUNDAY

INSIDE FROM PARIS F W PART 1 (PIANO PIANO)

Rasmus, Nanna and Hugues dressed as a silver penis ouside Cirque
There is nothing that I like more than when crazy, funny party friends  from Stockholm are visiting Paris. As I said before three of them were in town this FW to team up with me and have fun.
Let’s call them Nanni, Pete and Rick. After starting FW without them by going to a couple of cocktails and partyn on Wednesday they arrived on Thursday. After the Diesel storeopening in le marais we teamed up to check out my friend James Whelans new bar L’Inconnu in the 10th. An amazing crowd of people had gathered to celebrate the nice new bar and there were so many people we hardly saw James at all. Afterwards we went to NY Grandlife/La Clique’s La Bamboula party where we met lots of friends and the night continued until late at Silencio where I met even more friends from N.Y, London, Tokyo and all over.
The next day we were invited to a big dinner in the 16th, Avenue de Victor Hugo. The apartment was a palace like place with an orgie in gold, fine art and natural sized marble statues and with a private butler who lived in the apartment. There were maybe 50 people or more who had flown in from London and other places around the world. The butlers were running around serving us petit fours and sushi on silver plates and and champagne from crystal glasses. The dinner was nice and we met many interesting characters  such as ”The king of Ibiza” ”The girl with the biggest house in St Tropez” The face from of one of the biggest current fashion campaigns” and someone who called himself ”Ali Baba” among many others.  In the end the huge soundsystem built in in every room started to pump out Ibiza music on nightclub volume and a sea of 12 cm Louboutin’s started to dance around us.
Nanni & Pete at the dinner
Afterwards everyone continued to Raspoutine where we danced and had a very good time. The next day we all had a long lunch at Café Charlot and the expression ”Piano Piano” was born.  The expression comes from an incident where one of our friend ended up with an Italian girl late at night in a so called intimate situation. It got a bit rough whereupon the girl says in a strong Italian accent ”Riiiccharrrrdo! ”Piano... Piano”!  We decided it was the FW expression of the year.  Another night we had dinner with our friend Hedi and  his girlfriend who were in town. We were a big crowd of maybe 12-15 people at Matignon. The dj pumped Swedish hits such as Lykke Li, Avicii and Swedish House Mafia and we were dancing in our chairs. The night went on with stops at party’s at Hôtel Contentinal, ”Cools” release party at Cirque, then Raspoutine to finally finish very late at Le Baron. Comme il faut at fashion week…
The week is still on and this was only a couple of details among many many other funny incidents that happened during our nights; (A kissing competition at Cirque, a guy we met at the dinner who repetedly called everyone of us ”Mustafa” (including himself), a guy with a heavy Tourettes Syndrom at Le Baron, smashing a scooter guy with a car door and a couple of dwarf stories.)
Tomorrow night I’m dj’ing with my friend Harvey Ambomo at lingerie designer Britta Uschkamp’s  cocktail at Murano Resort which is gonna be nice and then there are a million other things happening as usual...
To be continued.

BLACKSILKDREAM

Tonight I dreamt that I inherited a black Hermès silk scarf among other luxury items such as jewelry and furs from an ex boyfriends dead mother. (She isn't dead in real life) A pretty weird but fashionable dream...

FASHION WEEK SURVIVAL GUIDE

In this Fashion week survival guide I've listed the essential and extremely important things you need in order to smoothly go through Fashion week in Paris:

-A PARTY CROWD
This is very important and makes Fashion Week so much more fun. One, two or maximum three other persons who follows you and who you follow through the whole fashion week and who you go to all the partys with. Normally you sit on an equal pack of invitations and you are each others +1.
This is practical cause you share the tasks such as invitations, party information and taxi trips. I have had many different ”party partners in crime” over the fashion week years. In the beginning back in 2005, 2006 it was Yvan ”The Facehunter” and I who shared cabs and went to all the party’s together. Then it has been my friends Zoe, my friend Jenny, two Swedish guy friends called Daniel and Sedir, (that FW was just incredible) Italian Guido, NYC Pete and a couple of fashion weeks ago it was my friend the Swedish blogger Solli. This year my party friend Nanna from Stockholm is coming over to team up with me. With her she has two nice boys she brought over from Sweden. To be a good "Fashion week partner in crime" it is important to be a little bit crazy, to be willing to continue ”all in” and to have a good and positive attitude. If you against all odds lose your FW team members you always know where to find them again -at Le Baron around 5 o’clock in the morning.

-AN INSIDER
A guy (or girl) who sits on all the secret and more private information about aftershows, partys and secret concerts. I mean the info which you sometimes can’t find on the net or in Modem. You send a quick sms to your insider and then you have the whole schedule, with hours and adresses in case you missed something.

-A VIP TAXI NUMBER
Everyone knows that it's hard to get a goddamn taxi in Paris when you need one. During fashion week it isn’t only hard, it’s nearly impossible. That's why it’s essential to have a good VIP taxi number you know you always can call and rely on, even 4 o’clock in the morning for your trips between the endless partys. (VIP taxi numbers changes often, so you do need to update. )

-THE FASHION WEEK KIT  (Things you need to have in your handbag or just have)
-Your invitations of course.
-A Modem (In order to see when all the shows starts and what’s happening during the night and where. -Starbucks latte. (Fashion week requires one big of those every day.)
-Vogue cigarettes. (You are stressed, you need to smoke. Vogue ciggies and FW belongs together.) -Business cards. (F W is all about networking.)
-A good concealer. (To cover up the dark circles under your eyes that starts to show after a couple of sleepless nights.)
Other optional things; A Press ID card, chewing gum, hairspray, dry shampoo, red lipstick from Chanel, a mask ( you are often invited to partys that requires a mask for the dresscode) An extra pair of pantyhose, friends with a nice hotel room (At Amour, Mama Shelter, Costes or The Four Seasons for example in order to throw spontaneous apéros and/or afterpartys.) A camera and aspirin.

-VACATION FROM YOUR EVERYDAY WORK (OPTIONAL)
If you have a demanding every day job it could be wise to take at least a couple of days off if you wanna go ”all in”. Especially if you are over 30. It is impossible to do crazy allnighters and club safaris with a lot of free champagne and drinks everywhere if you have to go up and be sharp at 9 the day after.

Don't forget a good and friendly mood.  Happy Fashion Week all of you!  :-)

EVERYTHING I WANT I HAVE. MONEY, NOTORIETY AND RIVIERAS.
