DREAMY...

I'm listening to this beautiful, sad and melancolic song. Exactly the kind of song I like.
It fits my mood. Dreamy, melancolic, thinking, thoughtful, but with an inner strenght at the same time.
That's how I feel very often.
I am home for once. I'm almost never home. Always 1000 things to do. DJ'ing at some place, dinner with friends, some party I have to go to, Swedish friends in town I have to meet, a coctail or with my boy...
I am cleaning tonight. Have a serious day. When I was younger I always started to clean when I felt guilty for something. Like a way to cleanse my soul.
I am thinking a lot about religion and mindfulness.
I belive in "believe-achieve", which means that you will receive what you think about and wish for.
Right now I wish many things I would like to happen in my life, but it's a secret, if you tell your wishes they may not come true....

EASTER AND A LONG WEEKEND

It's easter. 3- day weekend in Paris. Massive! I had a very lovely one so far...DJ'd at amazing Hotel Ritz last night, took a cab there cause I was a bit late and outside the hotel it's always a door -opening- guy who is coming opening the car door for you, love it. When I stepped out of the car with my 14cm high heels dressed in black and with sunglasses on , some teenage girls in the street stopped and stared at me and started to take pictures, haha, was funny, they thought maybe I was some celeb who stayed at Ritz. (too bad for them I was only the dj:)
Ritz garden is LOVELY. So beautiful and cosy and romantic to death. When the darkness falls and the dimmed yellow lamps comes on, it's sooo nice. Think I'm gonna hang out there more this summer. I want to stay at that hotel forever and never leave. Just walk around in the long corridors with the red carpets every day,eat in the restaurant in the evenings and then go to the Hemingway bar for drinks in the winter and out in the garden in the summer. I would be happy...
Last night I played lovely french and italian love songs and sipped on MRS BOND'S the whole evening.
When bartenders asks me what I want to drink, I sometimes ask them to recommend something for me that they think I would like and the bartenders at Ritz last night recommended  MRS BOND, which is raspberry champagne with raspberrys in it. Really good, couldn't be better actually...
Tonight I'm dj'ing together with cute Cherry Bibi at Le Carmen, gonna be awesome and tomorrow I'm joining my boyfriend in the contryside, more about that later...

Have a nice fashionable and decadent easter weekend all of you,

Love from Paris

I HAVE A CHANEL HUSTLER HERE IN PARIS WHO GETS ME STUFF TO A VERY REDUCED PRICE, THIS IS MY EASTER EGG TO MYSELF ;)

SOME PHOTOS FROM RITZ LAST NIGHT...

My Swedish friends Annika Wester and Louise Enhorning with their boyfriends

The weather was lovely, 27 dégrees in Paris, a magical night in the Ritz garden - to the left you can see a bit of "the french table" where my boyfriend and his friends were.

I like to have all the cds's where I can see them...:)

Me preparing my records...

The lovely absolutely beautiful terasse next to where I played

As I said to Louise last night, I wanna live here at the Ritz hotel forever, hang out in this lovely garden every day and never ever leave!

LOVE THIS

Hotel Ritz. I don't have words to describe how much I love this place, this atmosphere, this hotel, Someone, please pay me a weeks stay here and I will be thankful forever:-)

LOVE LOVE LOVE THIS

I know I already posted this, but this is one of the greatest songs ever, one of my favorites and so beautiful, sad and so full of memories for me....perfect for a warm spring night at the Ritz terasse in Paris where the green leaves touches your chin when a small breeze passes by. You are thinking of the ones you love and of all lost loves in your life, not there anymore, gone....you feel like crying but hold it back and learn to appriciate that bittersweet heavy feeling in your chest.
You pretend you are happy,(maybe you are happy)at least for a while, it is spring and you have a new life (?) in front of you...

MARU AGAIN!

I love his look in the end when he has "bobbed" hair, he looks like a grouchy japanese teenage girl, so sweet. I want a Maru.

I AM MARU

Maru is the best...I love Maru.

SO ANNOYING

One thing that's really bothering me in France is the lack of service and the rudeness that meets you almost every time when you go into a shop. (Not luxury clothes stores, but like the pharmacy and smaller stores like that) The employés are talking to each other and doesn't give a flying fuck that you are standing in front of them behind the desk with stuff that you want to buy, ready to pay. No, they ignore you like if you were air and continue talking to each other about what they did last weekend or some other trivial bullshit.
In those situations I have to say load: -Bonjour! -Excuse me, but can I pay? I don't know if you noticed , but I've been standing here for a while and I am quite in a hurry! (in french ofcourse) then I look at them very not nicely, pay my products and are so disgusted by their total lack of politeness, I don't even bother saying "thank you" or" goodbye".If I hadn't interrupted and insisting on paying I think they would have let me stand there the whole afternoon.  I mean, wtf, doesn't those people want to do business?  have pleased clients who are gonna come back to buy? Apparently not. This is just so rude and have never ever happened to me in any other country in the world. In Sweden it is obvious that you don't speak to your colleagues for minutes and waiste your clients precious time and let them wait half a meter in front of you behind the desk like dumb sheeps while you completely ignore their existence AND wait until THEY have to say something to catch your attention so that they can freakin pay! This is just totally insane and one of the everyday issues that makes me dislike the French attitude even more.
Peace

MEMORIES

Haha, I remember this like if it was yesterday. Little me 10 years old lying in my bed in the evenings before going to sleep, watching MTV and sometimes YO! MTV Raps was on, was a great show. I didn't realise it back then, but actually it was pretty cool ;-)

TO BE OR NOT TO BE A DJ.

Did about 100 or more perfect synchronized mixes last night.
I am from the old (DJ) school and think that you can't call yourself a DJ if you can't do perfect mixes. Basta.
When I'm talking mixes I mean the oldschool way, with your ears and your hands.
That is the minimum you have to know if people are letting you play in their places in front of a public. Its your professional pride.
F'course if you play like 50's music and stuff like that it's a bit hard to do perfect mixes sometimes, but otherwise it is really the minimum knowledge you should have as a "DJ".
I am not very technical otherwise, hardly use the loops and any of the other effects ( Hey! I'm not dj'ing at Ibiza or at L'Arc in Paris ;) But I can do really perfect and good mixes.

The worst thing I know is people who call themselves DJ's and are totally braindead and only in it for the money or cause they think it's "cool". Playing for other braindead people with no musical culture or real interest in music what so ever. Slick slacks with Diesel jeans, too much gel in the hair, a too hard UV burnt face flashing with the newest Sinclair, Guetta, Black Eyed Peas or other commercial  crap"music" which is unfortunatly common in certain places in Paris and elsewhere.
Luckily I never go to those places. I Just know they exist.

I have never been into dj'ing for the money or to be "cool". Never even thought about it, just went through my head that people apparently does it while I discussed it with someone the other day.
It's not even that well payed if you aren't lucky and stumble over some brand-gigs that pay you 1500 euros a night, but those are rare. Otherwise the money you get for a night is hardly enough to pay a descent dinner at Le Meurice...
I started dj'ing 13 years ago out of pure love for music and a genuine interest to share my amazing discovers and my musical universe with other people. That is how it should be.
I am moving very fast in music. Discover new really good stuff every week and never listen to the same music more than a couple of months. Afterwards I get tired of it and start to  look for new stuff. (All kinds of styles, new and old.)

While discussing with other dj's I've understood that we listen to music in a different way then the "mass" does. I take in the whole song for example when I listen. It touches all of my senses and I hear all the different instruments separetely and recognize the voice of the singer immidiately (if there is one.)
The lyrics talks a lot to me and helps intensify the total feeling of the song, specially if there are lyrics I can refer to.
When I hear a random song on the radio for example, I get memory flashes from the song (my memory is strongly associated with music) and I can often tell the singers whole name, the name of the album, which year it was released and who did the original track (if it is a cover)
I often instantly think of another song which would be perfect to mix in with the song I am listening to, guess it's an effect of all dj'ing during the years...)

Some people who are not as interested and responsive to music as I am can have music more as a background sound and doesn't pay so much attention to what they are actually listening to. They are never looking for  new music and to know more different styles but listen to their random 15 albums they bought 10 years ago over and over again.
This is so wierd for me and I can't understand it.
Discovering music is a progres over time, it is a bit like developing your personal style . I mean you are not wearing the same  clothes and the same style since when you were 18 are ya?.

I Can't understand people who only listens to and like one style in music either. That is so narrowminded.
I like everything from jamaican reggae to ska to dubstep to rocksteady,  rock, pop, 20's, 30's, 40's, 50's,60's,70's and 80's music, hip hop, funk, soul, electro, some house, some minimalist, new and old disco, italodisco, old chansons française, singers and songwriters, etc -just everything that is good and that touches my heart.

I think it is very important to be open to all kinds of styles in music when you are a dj. To have the knowledge . That makes you  a much better dj and you understand the roots of where the music you play comes from and you can play with it in your set and do a journey through music for example.
Dj'ing is all about showing people what they didn't knew they loved.
Get them discover new cool artists and tracks, remixes and versions and be amazed. Just like when you discovered it. Dj'ing is not to play tired old Sinclair hits from your laptop, if you do that you should stop right now...

Dj is an art for those who knows how to use it.

I just know that I will continue to listen to music and to dj for as long as I live.
Ya man,
Peace.

CHRISTOPHE ROBIN HAIRCARE

SHOP, AND YOU DON'T STOP, AND KEEP ON TIL SOMEBODY SCREEEEAAAM

I've been shopping madly today.
I really don't do that often, but when I do it, I do it right.
First I went  to the Apple store and bought myself a new battery to my iMac and a new extern harddrive. Then I bought a nice golden bracelet with a little beautiful transperant gray stone in it,(real) then  some teas at the Kusmi store, the Detox one ofcourse, great to clean your system from shit after dinner. Then I bought my fav' great purfume from Miller and Bertaux. After that I went to Maje and bought a lovely cream colored silk shirt and a black sexy dress and I almost bought a 300 e Vanessa Traina super nice designed jacket, but stopped myself the last second, (but gonna go back and buy that one among others next week.)
Further I went to the Bon Marché @ Rive Gauche  where I bought the whole serie of Christophe Robin haircare ( amazing products) and lots of skincare products from Dermalogica and a  Mason Pearson hairbrush. Last but not least  I took off to Sephora to finish my purchases with some makeup from YSL, Chanel, Estee Lauder, Dior and Nars .
That was a nice little spree indeed, I look forward to the next time in about a month...
Hare Krishna!
ps) I don't have to mention that this was shitaholicly dirty fucki'n expensive, do I?

BAD LUCK

GODDAMMIT!
Just spent half an hour or more writing one of the longest  articlels I've ever written here on my blog about people having children my age (young)and how on earth they  handle it and then the fucking Safari crashes on me! Apple store and Mac doctor next. I might write the whole thing again, was quite interesting.
Anyway, godmorning!
Finally weekend in Paris, a sunshiny one, Im going out for some lovely makeup/skincare and clothes shopping now and tonight I'm DJ'ing at the new bar RDV here in le marais, more about that later,

THIS IS WHAT I WOULD LIKE TO DO WITH A VACUUM CLEANER...

THE WORST HOUSEWIFE, KIND OF LIKE EVER...

I am probably the worst housewife in the world...
I have no skills when it comes to vacuuming, washing dishes or to cook. I really don't want to learn either. I am just not interested.
And hey! Modern women don't really need to know those things...
I know some men thinks it's sexy when your girl is baking bread, serving them a meal and stuff like that,
but if I ever get married one day I'm gonna hire someone to do that stuff for me (so that my husband won't find it unfair that he has to do everything in the house :)
I'm not saying I'm never gonna do such things. Of course I can force myself if it's absolutely neccessary.  Im just saying I don't like to do it and I'm not the type who will stand with the duster and a plate of homemade cookies ready when grandma rings at the door or wash the dishes after a hard day at work.
So, if you are considering to marry me your priorities should not be to have a wife who knows how to cook, clean the house , iron shirts and make a rost turkey for you.  If you instead appreciate qualities such as humor, intelligens, creativity, imagination, spontaneity, good skills in bed, adventurousness, madness,  craziness, looniness, passion, devotion, madcaphat'ness, absurdness, insanity( in a good way) good DJ skills and a hell of a damn good taste in music( I know that is not an expression) -then you should go for me. :)

INTERVIEW WITH MY FRIEND PAUL I TOLD YA' ABOUT EARLIER

My friend Paul Armand Delille is half american, half french, 30 years old and kinda funny, that's why he deserves to answer my little questionary "Finish the sentence " here on my BLOGGIE:
His answers are written in red, Enjoy!

Finish the sentence :

Girls are so amazing

Last night I was DJing and then partying

I would never ever have done this girl if I wasn't so desperate for love

My mum is my banker

On Sunday mornings I like to brunch, smoke, take a bath

Never say always

Charlie Sheen is an inspiration to the youth of all modern democracies

If I was born as a girl I would masturbate in front of a mirror for a couple of hours, try tap-dancing on high heels, and then get in a cat fight with my best friend !

Friday nights are random

I really regret that I wasn't born a girl now !

Sex is comedy

When people call me in the middle of the night I always answer just to yell at them for a sec

I like to go to Shangrila

Goths are wanna be leather-witch fetishists

I have a secret crush on Louise Bourgoin

I would like to be naked on a perfect virgin beach

While I have sex, I sometimes do some texting

The next time someone offers me some mdma I'm gonna say 'what the hell. OK'

I'd rather eat sushi than eat pussy

Sex and drugs and popsicles

People listed at SayWho.fr are jet-setters on scooters

I check my facebook too many times a day

Mike Nouveau is a good DJ

At 6 o'clock in the morning outside Le Baron I feel really drunk and desperate

Paris is the most static international City in the world

Right now I would like to be in Calvi with a glass of wine on a sunny evening

I buy all my clothes on Haight Street in San Francisco

Sometimes I secretly wish that I owned a Mini Moog D

When I'm about to pay and my credit card doesn't work I try to project smoothness and confidence

When I was little I liked hitting all sorts of objects with my wooden hammer

Cheating is when you are in a committed relationship and forget about it for a while

After 10 glasses of champagne I am still trying to catch up with Linda Romanazzi

Parisians are a total cliché : good dressers, arrogant with amazing kissing skills

The drinks are on me

Thanx Paul! :)

MY FRIEND PAUL

THIS IS PAUL. WHEN PAUL WAS LITTLE, 1,5 YEARS OLD, HE LIVED ON A FARM IN NORMANDIE IN NORTH OF FRANCE. ONE DAY HE STOLE THE NURSURING BOTTLE FROM AN INNOCENT BABY LAMB AND DRANK IT ALL. SINCE THEN HE CAUGHT A RARE DISEASE THAT ONLY ANIMALS CARRY CALLED 'BRUCELOSIS' AND NEARLY DIED. HE HAD TO TAKE A LOT OF ANTIBIOTICS FOR A LONG TIME AFTER THAT AND NOW HIS TEETHS ARE BAD. HE HAS TO GO TO THE DENTIST TO DO A 3000€ SURGERY. (MAYBE HE WILL GO TO PAKISTAN OR POLAND OR THAILAND CAUSE IT'S CHEAPER)

ME SKATEBOARDING IN THE LOFT

THE LOFT

SERGE HAD A REAL "CARPET"

A LONGBOARD, A RIDING BOOT AND A GLASS OF WATER. COMPLETELY NORMAL IN THE LOFT

THE EPIC LOFT EXPERIENCE

Saturday in Paris. Its the sunniest day ever and I just had the coolest loft experience. Late at night after having spent the night at a birthday party and then at le Baron I decided to visit my friend Paul's loft. (Paul is very busy during the day and me too, that's why he prefer to invite guests during the night instead of the day.) Paul who is a musician lives in this loft of about 1000 squaremeters together with his 3 friends, a painter, a writer and a musician in an old fabric that used to be a printing company in the north of Paris. The loft holds a studio with lots of cool vintage items where a girl who is designing dresses for Dior works, it has maybe 20 or more other rooms and every room is like entering in a different world. All the furniture are vintage and from the 50's, 60's and 70's and the atmosphere feels like something between visiting Andy Warhol and Huge Hefner at the same time. There are skateboards everywhere on the floor ( I think they are moving around that way in the loft) Books, old vinyls random artworks and vintage clothes are filling the spacy rooms, there are several bathrooms with bathtubes, oriental carpets and statues, walk in closets, a huge garage, and even a recording studio filled with instruments. Besides collecting dildos that looks like candycanes, catching rare lamb diseases and own a chateau outside Paris Paul is a DJ,plays and sings in a band called Open space and stars, has a musicblog with really cool music and works in the same company as me. I did an interview with him that is soon going to be up on my blog. Stay tuned.
